Forsythia bloom

Forsythia is one of the earliest spring bloomers. As a result of it's hardiness, perhaps, it seems to produce a few blooms at off times. Last year it bloomed in January.

The blooms of forsythia are very fragile looking. And I was amazed to see the ice look so strong surrounding them, even though the ice appears as crystal.
